England to tour Sri Lanka for first time in six years

Flashback: 1st test match between Sri Lanka and England at Galle International Cricket Stadium in March 2012 in Galle, Sri Lanka.

COLOMBO: England will play three Tests, five one-day internationals and a Twenty20 international during their winter tour of  Sri Lanka in October and November.

The tour will begin on October 10 with a day-night ODI at Dambulla while the only T20 match will be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

The first Test will be at Galle International Stadium, with the following held in Kandy.England’s previous tour of Sri Lanka was in 2012 for a two-match Test series they drew 1-1.
