ABUJA, December 2019: The Sri Lanka High Commissioner to Nigeria, A. Sabarullah Khan presented his Credentials to President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari on 24 December 2019 at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Nigeria.
After the presentation of the letter of Credence, the High Commissioner had a private discussion with the President of Nigeria. The President thanked the government and people of Sri Lanka for supporting Nigeria at international forums including at the United Nations. The High Commissioner took this opportunity to apprise the Nigerian President about the significant developments in Sri Lanka and recently developed ‘Revitalized Africa Policy’ of Sri Lanka.
The High Commissioner also conveyed the greetings and best wishes from President of Sri Lanka Gotabaya Rajapaksa and that of the people of Sri Lanka. President Muhammadu Buhari responded with his personal greetings and that of the people of Nigeria to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and the people of Sri Lanka.
