COLOMBO: The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ali Sabry met with the Chinese Ambassador Qi Zhenhong at the Ministry on 27 July, 2022. At the outset, Ambassador Qi Zhenhong congratulated the Foreign Minister on his new appointment and handed over the congratulatory message of State Councilor and the Foreign Minister of China, Wang Yi.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs stated that Sri Lanka and China are traditional friendly countries with long standing bilateral and economic relations. Both parties expressed great satisfaction over strong bilateral relations, including government to government and the people to people contacts.
