THIMPHU: Sayurangi Premasiri of Mahamaya Girls’ College, Kandy and Medhini Anupama Wanigaratne of Hillwood College, Kandy won the Championship of the BIMSTEC Silver Jubilee Quiz Contest on 15 February 2023 in Bhutan.
This quiz contest was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & External Trade of Bhutan in collaboration with the BIMSTEC Secretariat in Dhaka to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the BIMSTEC.
Students representing the seven BIMSTEC countries – Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand – took part in the contest.
The Sri Lankan students were outstanding at the quiz contest and brought pride to the country by winning the championship.
