MALĖ: Maldivian, the flag carrier of the Maldives, has announced the commencement of its highly anticipated service to Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo starting from April 25th, 2024. This strategic expansion further solidifies Maldivian’s commitment to connecting the Maldives with key international destinations, enhancing travel options for passengers, and promoting cultural and economic exchange between the two nations, the airline said in a statement.

Ticket bookings for the new Colombo route will be available from February 29th, 2024 from all the sales channels of the airline including its website, mobile application and ticketing office, allowing travelers to plan and secure their journeys well in advance.
As part of its commitment to convenience and flexibility, Maldivian will operate two weekly flights to Colombo, departing every Thursday and Saturday. This schedule has been designed to cater to the needs of both leisure and business travellers, providing options for weekend trips. Passengers will have options to connect to Maldivian’s extensive domestic network of 16 destinations with convenient connections.
